Revised National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS)

The revised National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS) came into effect on 1 July 2015.

It was revised by the Mediator Standards Board (MSB) which is responsible for developing and maintaining NMAS.

The NMAS is a 19 page document which sets out Standards for the Approval and Practice of Mediation, the role of the Recognised Mediator Accreditation Bodies and the MSB.

These Standards apply whenever a Nationally Accredited Mediator conducts mediation processes.

The MSB also maintains the Register of Nationally Accredited Mediators.

The new NMAS can be viewed at www.msb.org.au.
